I was told that if I do 3 hardware upgrades in a computer running windows xp the system will have to be re-registered. I personally have never had this problem and have upgraded so many times on my gaming pc's that i cant count but the person was set and believed this to be the case.

My Windows icons ( Outlook Express etc) are working. All others from websites or programs ( Firefox) are not responding. The Firefox in the Windows Start Menu is also not working. The only thing I can think of is that a reminder to install updates for Firefox 2 came up & I meant to cancel & just as it was starting to install I pressed the "standby" button. Don't know what made me do that! I hadn't used my lap-top for a few days so I don't know when the problem happened. HELP!!!!!!!!!!

The need is to copy all folder view attributes (size, length, date, Type) to all its sub folders. A solution was provided 2 years ago by Keoth Miller for xp. The xp solution from Keith gives an error message on Vista. I need exactly the solution described by Keith Miller (MVP) as a script he wrote:

My toolbar has disappeared completely. with the start button and everything and I don't understand, because in its place is this weird thing like a windows explorer icon that enlarges once you put your mouse over it. And whenever you open up something it goes to that spot. I have tried everything but I cant find it anywhere, but the thing is whenever I turn off my computer and turn it back on my toolbar comes back for a couple of seconds but then disappears. HELP!!!!!!

vista won't allow me to use the push buttons on my hp 1209 scanner. one of the options says to access paint and use the scanner camera option, but it is grayed out. any ideas how i can get my scanner to work?

i have laptop Dell lattitude C/610 with service tag no:8RX1J11 installed with Windows XP profession version 2002 service pack2 operating System and installed Hyper terminal software version 5.1.2600.0 When I connect my router through console port, i can able to see router startup process and memory information and it end with "press return key" but when i press enter no response in terminal window. i couldn't see user mode option ">". How can i enter the User mode.
I have also configure new bridge Multiplexre or any other devices through Hper terminal software version 5.1.2600 at COM1 terminal setting 9600-8-N-1 Hardware.
Is there any possibility to run the Hyper terminal software in MS WIN XP professional servise pack or any other software to run on this OS.
