i use a USB mouse on my laptop, but lately i keep getting a box popping up called autoplay, and shows a flashlight scanning, does it for about 2 secs then stops, the problem is it does it over and over, and while im in another program it will alt-tab that program while its going on, is there anyway to keep this from happening cause it is happening quite frequently, i though by buyng a new mouse perhaps it was the contacts not meeting, but it is doing with the new mouse even. Please help, this is becomming a night mare when trying to do things on the computer. thanks and sorry ahead of time for what most likely is a dumb question. Take care Basha |

Autoplay has nothing to do with your mouse. It is related to your cd/dvd drive. Is there a disk in the drive? If so, remove it. If there is no disk in the drive, your drive might be failing. Run your system diagnostics. Your antivirus might be causing this, too. Disable removable drive protection from your AV program. In other words, tell your antivirus not to check files on the cd drives.
