In looking at my Windows Folder in Windows XP Home Addition, I see that I have True Type Fonts listed in C:\WINDOWS as well as in C:\WINDOWS\FONTS. Can I safely delete the fonts listed in C:\WINDOWS and still have all of my fonts or can I move them into the fonts folder? Why are they listed in the C:\Windows folder rather than in the Fonts folder? Thanks for any help anyone can give me. |

No you cannot do that. XP shows many duplicates that are not duplicates at all, just a diff view of the same files--like a shortcut to the real file. If you delet from one, it is deleted from all. Leave them alone.
