Sticky Keyboard...Help! Options Advertisers

My daughter spilled Coke on the keyboard and it got a chance to sit
overnight. Day by day, the keys get harder and harder to press. Remember the
old manual typewriters? My spacebar is morphing into fast! Any help for me?

Keyboards are very cheap - why not buy a new one.
You can clean them if you want - the keys can be 'gently' lifted off their
settings - warm water and a cotton-bud will do the cleaning.
Lay the keys out after cleaning them, one at a time and in the order you
take them off.
Be careful of the longer keys which have very thin delicate springs
underneath and can become detached from their fixings.
Once you have removed all the keys you can then get at the part where all
that sticky coke is.

If you have a wired kayboard without anything special on it - such as a
display screen, then just run it through the dishwasher. I have done
this before, and it works great.

If there are things that don't like getting wet, like LCD screens, then
take each key off and clean them.

Or spend 15.00 on a new one.

Get a new keyboard. It will only get worse.

Well... you could get a new keyboard, they aren't that expensive. Here is a
link about washing your keyboard.

You can take the keys off, take the thing apart wash in soapy water and
rinse. Dry everything off, then re-assemble. Make sure any connectors
are dry.
If you run into a problem keyboards are cheap.

I have no personal experience washing keyboards, but I understand from
others that immersing it in a bathtub full of water works very well.

Worst case, just buy a new one. They are only $10 US or so.

Everyone of the wash it out crowd has forgotten to mention to make
sure it is -dry- before using it again. Details are important gang.
