does anybody know why my windows xp doesn't reconize my plug and play for my joy stick and racing wheel??? i had the geek sguad over to fix it. they spent to hours. said they didn't know, and said that will be 170.00 dollars... |

There are several possible reasons. A few are listed below. 1. Most USB devices require that the drivers be loaded befor you connect them to the USB port. 2. You may need updated drivers. 3. Your user account may not have the required permissions to install such things. 4. If the joystick / racing wheel use the joystick (aka gameport) connection, then this is not "plug and play." You must manually configure then in the Control Panel Game Controller section. Lets say your toilet got clogged up and you couldnt sit on your throne in the morning so you call in a plumber. 2 hours later the toilet is still backed up and the plumber asks for $170.
