Startup Options Advertisers

A while ago I saw an article about a site which listed what every item in
your startup was and if you needed to keep it or not but I lost the site
address. Does anyone know what site I am talking about? I recently
downloaded a couple of things and it looks as though they are running at
startup but from the abbreviations I'm not sure.
Thanks!

Try Autoruns from SysInternals:
http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Autoruns.html
This will show all apps/etc. that load/run when you first boot and
selectively allow you to stop any that you don't want.

Thanks for responding - does that site tell you what the apps are? I am able
to see everything that is running but I don't know what they are. That's
what the site that I mentioned did - it explained literally every
abbreviation in the startup.

Yes, just right click on an item and you can google the item you selected.
