I have a system running Windows XP MCE. I have AutoAdminLogon enabled for the Owner account. When the computer boots up, it appears to logon normally, briefly shows the desktop and then immediately says "Logging Off ..." and recycles. This constant cycling requires a power cycle to break. If I turn off AutoAdminLogon and manually select Administrator (or any other account), it does the same thing (starts loading and then logs off). I am able to boot up in safe mode with no problem whatsoever. I have also run MSCONFIG and disabled all Startups and all Services, which had no affect on the problem. All the log files show no unusual errors. I do not have Ad-Aware and the Userinit.exe registry entry looks just fine. I can't see wsaupdater.exe anywhere on the computer. I have also explored "Unable to Log on if the Boot Partition Drive Letter Has Changed" to no avail: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q249321/ Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

There are a lot more spywares/malwares/hackwares/viruses out that can also cause this. You need to do a complete spyware/malware/hackware/virus check and clean out any of these before you can eliminate this as the true cause.
