Starware Options Advertisers

XP Home edition. While looking through explorer I noticed Starware was
present and Google said it was a browser helper with spyware and adware.
It's difficult to remove and my Adaware SE, Spybot S & D, Spyware Blaster,
and Defender don't touch it. Tried a scan with some program from Google
which detected it but want about $30 for a tool to remove it. Sneaky!!
Does anyone know how I can get rid of this and if not, is it really so bad?
TIA Stan

When

all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
