I reinstalled XP Pro from my Dell CD on 27 May and twice since I have gotten a windows Stop 8086 error after applying a "critical" XP update (today's was KB886903, a security patch for .NET w/SP1). I can't find anything on the microsoft site (using advanced search of XP) for a Stop8086. I checked the "High Priority" updates I applied later on 27 May and see that it includes windows Genuine Advantage. Anyone else seen this, have any ideas? TIA |
