im looping when i try to run disk cleanup.i tried a suggestion to run sfc/scannow but it requested xp professional disk,i run home.is there another command for home. -- drummer |

SFC /SCANNOW (space between C and /), is System File Check. It checks for missing and/or corrupt system files and replaces them. There is no other command for the Home Edition. Disk Cleanup tool hangs on windows XP http://www.jsiinc.com/SUBO/tip7200/rh7213.htm SFC - System File Checker - (SFC /Scannow) /SCANNOW Scans all protected system files immediately. /SCANONCE Scans all protected system files at the next boot. /SCANBOOT Scans all protected system files at every boot. /REVERT Windows XP: Return to default settings.
