11-Jun-06 One thing I forgot to ask the other day: How do I cancel an operation that I am waiting for? I have windows XP Pro with S.P.2. I'll clarify this. When I choose an operation, I get an hourglass instead of my (mouse) pointer. I cannot use anything in the meantime. When the time drags on for a while I'll just want to cancel out of the operation (and try again). [I cannot even use "stop" on my browser because I do not have a pointer - only the hourglass.] How do I get the pointer back? Thank you, Barry Karas P.S. Sometimes I get the mouse pointer superimposed on top of the hourglass. This seems to be like the hourglass alone because nothing works. P.P.S. Nothing happens when I use [Alt. + F4]. |
