outlook 2007 occasionally crashes Options Advertisers

Hello,

I've found that my installation of outlook 2007 occasionally crashes when I
start a new message or reply, reply to all, or forward. It will hang for
about 10 seconds and then crash, requiring a restart of the program. Then it
seems to work OK for awhile.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, mine is doing the same. I think I just experienced about my 6th crash
and this window opened asking if I wanted to run microsoft Office Diagnistics
to try and fix the problem. I'm running it now, but will take a good 15
minutes (they say).

will let you know if it works.

I got the same problems. It seems that outlook 2007 is extremely unstable. I
have a WP Pro SP2 computer with 768M Ram. I run small business Accounting 2007

Ok, I've disabled everything and its working fine. Now doesn't crash. I don't
have time to test one-by-one but I think that could be Google outlook Bar.

Thanks for the clue.

Regards,

hey, I think my outlook has finally stabilized. Turns out after the Crash
Analysis, Adobe Acrobat was the culprit. I uninstalled it and all its patches
this morning and then installed Acrobat version 7 trial. So far, I've been
able to open, reply and create a new message with no errors.

Num 6:
We have had also problems with outlook 2007, but to solve the issues Microsoft is not interested!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ongoing crashes with this program drove us up the wall so we deleted MS Office professional 2007 and use Mozilla Thunderbird and Open Office for quit a time and had no issues anymore!
We bought MS Office pro 2007 for a lot of good cash, but might as well burn it before giving it to Microsoft those bastards!

Num 5:
ok.. so to all the above:

1. I have Adobe 8.0...
2. I do not have that file: outcmd.anything
3. Office Diag did nothing..

Any other ideas?

JM

Num 4:
This will work, trust me! I was having the exact same issue...

In Outlook do the following steps:

Click on Tools
Then click on Trust Center
On the left side click on Add-Ins
At the bottom change “COM Add-Ins” to “Exchange Client Extensions”, then GO
Uncheck the “Bisfax Extension V8” Box
Then OK.

Num 3:
MY outlook 2007 restarts
Mine would restart one the second message sent after each restart. I could send one message and hit any option to send another and it would crash.

Documents and Settings/username/ApplicationData/Microsoft/Outlook - just rename it to outcmd.old

this fixed it , Thanks everyone

Num 2:
:Documents and Settings/username/ApplicationData/Microsoft/Outlook - just rename it to outcmd.old

Num 1:
Also, try deleting (or renaming) the file outcmd.dat - find it in the hidden folder -
c:Documents and Settings/username/ApplicationData/Microsoft/Outlook - just rename it to outcmd.old

When you restart Outlook 2007, it will create a new fresh file. Mine had something to do with customizing the toolbar - the outcmd.dat file got corrupted and needed to be rebuild. Lost my menu customizations, but no big deal - at least it does not crash now.
