i was trying to copy some files to a cd, changed my mind, and hit cancel, everything stopped. cept the computer wont let me do anything because it windows is working on a file, please wait till it is done or go into windows and close it. how do i go to windows close it? thanks -- xp-pro,sp2,ff1.5,40gb,512mb via mobo,900gz, computer newbie |

There should be an icon in the system tray(beside the clock in the lower right) that will say something along the lines of "files are waiting to be copied" etc. It looks like a disk sitting upright on top of a box. Double Click on that and then delete any reference to the files and close out. Otherwise you should be able to get to the file copying utility by going>start>my computer and then clicking on your CD-RW drive to open the list of files waiting to be written and then simply highlighting all of them and deleteing or click file\delete temprorary files and then closing the window by the usual method(click the X in the top right corner).
