Icon - Support for windows xp sp1 ends Octobert 10 - Can I get rid of this without upgrading to sp2? I am in an enterprise environment and updating to sp2 is not an option due to sp2 not being "tested." This icon is a menace, so it would be nice to get rid of it. Thank you. |

Since you are in an enterprise network I would recommend talking to your network admin(s) first. She/he may have a reason for leaving it. If your enterprise hasn't tested SP2 yet you someone else managing the IT department. Unfortunately I don't know of any way to turn it off permanently.
