Firstly have u tried the laptops volume butons if it has some, the media players volume option, the sound option in controll panel??? sometimes to save energy/battery laptops turn the sound lower when they are not plugged in to the mains socket, does the sound change when its plugged it to the mains socket?? is it just when u play Dvds, could be the dvd/cd imput sound is lower which u can change in control panels- "sound and audio devices" are all the drivers for ur sound card installed/up to date? if u have tried all of the above and its the same volume no matter what media is playing then it sounds like ur speakers are just not very good, any differnce if u use headphones? |

Thanks for the advice. I have tried all these options and no matter what I do I only get a good sound when I am playing music cds or music. It is only low when I play dvd movies. thats why I dont understand it. There is no difference when i use head phones I have tried. I will try and update the drivers, I think they already are but I will try again anyway. Thank You again.
